Hibiscus House Fort Myers: Charming Historic Stay in Southwest Florida

The travel bug bit, and I got the itch. So I packed a spend the night bag and headed south to downtown Fort Myers.

Most of the time I plan trips wayyyy in advance, stalking Bed & Breakfast reviews like an unhinged true crime detective. However, this was a quickie, so I hopped on Airbnb and found this gem. I decided to find the actual website and book directly because you usually get a slightly better discount, and it just feels more personal in my opinion.

This place had everything honestly…

I stayed in the Seashell Room, which had its own private balcony. Just check out these photos of the room!

So cute, right? King bed, rainfall shower, and books? Say less! You even get your own dedicated parking spot, which is always a win. It’s walking distance from The Edison and Ford Winter Estates. For dinner, we went to Al Capone’s for pizza (7/10) and then grabbed dessert. The next day we took a short drive over to Sanibel Island, which I highly recommend.

Overall, if you live somewhat close and need a quick date night or a solo night to reset, this is your spot.
